Yearling Bison

This harvest takes place on the west side of the Madison River November through January for 1 1/2 year old animals. These yearling heifers are the best "meat" bison available, and the robes and skulls are also nice. Most will weigh 700-800#, with limited numbers available in the other size ranges. This is a guided harvest. Animals will be field dressed by guides and loaded into the hunter's vehicle.
